Kalia Technologies SAS ("Kalia", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Kalia platform, including the marketing management features accessible at marketing.kalia.app. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our services, including data obtained through integrations with Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Meta Ads).

2. Information We Collect

When you use Kalia Marketing, we may collect and process:

  • Account information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials provided through our identity provider (Clerk).
  • Facebook Page data: Page names, Page IDs, post content, and engagement metrics (likes, comments, shares) retrieved via the Meta Graph API using the permissions pages_show_list, pages_manage_posts, and pages_read_engagement.
  • Instagram data: Business profile information (username, profile picture, follower count), published media, and comments retrieved via instagram_basic, instagram_content_publish, and instagram_manage_comments.
  • Advertising data: Ad campaign configurations, budgets, targeting parameters, and performance metrics obtained via ads_management, ads_read, and business_management.
  • Content you create: Posts, images, ad creatives, and campaign configurations created through our platform.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Display your connected Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts in your dashboard.
  • Publish content to Instagram and Facebook Pages on your behalf.
  • Create and manage Meta advertising campaigns as instructed by you.
  • Display engagement metrics and advertising performance analytics.
  • Manage comments on your Instagram posts.
  • Generate AI-powered content suggestions for your social media.

We only access and use Meta platform data for the specific purposes described above and as authorized by you. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. Access tokens for Meta services are encrypted at rest and never exposed to client-side code. We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Clerk, and strict access controls.

5. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

  • Meta Platforms:When you publish content or manage ads, we send data to Meta's APIs as required to perform the requested actions.
  • Infrastructure providers: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Clerk (authentication) — all under strict data processing agreements.
  • AI services: When generating content, anonymized prompts may be sent to AI providers. No personal data or Meta platform data is included in AI requests.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Meta platform data (posts, metrics, campaign data) is refreshed periodically and older cached data is automatically purged after 90 days. You can request immediate deletion at any time.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Access all personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data and account.
  • Disconnect your Meta accounts at any time from the dashboard.
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format.

8. Meta Platform Terms

Our use of information received from Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We do not use Meta data for purposes unrelated to the services described in this policy. We do not transfer Meta data to data brokers, information resellers, or any other parties unrelated to our services.

9. GDPR & International Users

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process data based on your consent and our legitimate interests in providing the services. You have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
